CHARACTER DESCRIPTION

NAME: Metal
RACE: Elemental Avatar (belonging to the Calanthra universe © Private Exchange)
HAIR: Turquoise green, like aged copper (eyebrows as well).
EYES: Burning orange, like hot metal.
HEIGHT: 160 cm
BUILT: Very slender and petite, with average breasts and hips.
AGE: Centuries old, but appears to be about 20 years old.
SPECIAL FACULTIES: She has a mark in her forehead that represents her element; metal. It is the same burning orange colour as her eyes. Her skin is shiny like metallic silver.
POWERS: Metal sports a unique weapon that she can change the shape of. The hilt remains the same, but the rest can morph from being a sword to a spear to a mace or even a whip. It's all up to her. Other powers she can use are heat, sound, electricity (combined with Lightning?), and magnetism. Some of her metals also belong to the more... uhh, dangerous types (uranium for example), and some are pyrophoric or water reactive.
Even though her petite size, she is a fierce warrior. Almost a bit like a berserker in battle. Needless to say, no metal weapons are any danger to her. Nor are any type of armour with metal in it an advantage for her enemies.

LIKES: Music, the clinging of metal. She is especially fond of bells of different types. Heat.
DISLIKES: Too much water, people pushing her around.

BACKGROUND: Metal is a type of being called Elemental Avatars. They live in the Calanthra world and are like semi-deities, not quite gods, but more like the hands of gods (only they work through the elements).
In general, most of the Eelemental Avatars are on the side of the Calanthrans in the war for their world (and water). They are guardians of this world, and most would not be coerced into taking another side. This does not necessarily bring peace among them though, as many of them are lifelong rivals by nature.
They are magical beings and of course use magic that coincides with their element. They do use traditional weapons too and they have super strength, and are generally "better" than the Calanthras. But they are NOT undefeatable. They can be injured or killed, despite their immortality.

Metal is very close to the Calanthra, and takes a special liking to smiths and jewellers. After all, the Calanthra use her element in their daily life so she is important to them as well. And if there is a greater battle then you can be sure to find Metal there. I do not think that she and Crystal go along very well. As Crystal tends to fight for a "higher purpose", while Metal just does it because of the adrenalin rush and because she likes the Calanthra.
Metal can be a bit confusing. She often reflects others' feelings; if they are sad, she becomes sad, etc. People (both mortal and Elemental Avatars) also tend to think that she is easy to manipulate, and that can be true to an extent. But if she really has decided on something - then basically nothing can change her mind. To some she can seem though and cold, and it is as if she has locked some of her feelings away.
There is a rumour that once (when mortals just had begun to realize the use of metals), she fell in love with a mortal smith, and that this is the reason why she adores the Calanthra so much. But I'm not sure if even all of the Elemental Avatars know the true story. Wind might find it irritating that he has such a hard time to sweet-talk her. I think she goes along well with the rest of the EAs. Might not be so fond of staying in the company of Water or Rain for longer periods of time though (rust, ya know). She is known to visit some of Lightning's more "heavy" shows, haha.
