Christmas present for my other grandmohter (dad's mom) 2005. She had originally wished for a summer mead ...but this is what it wanted to become. I really tried to make a mead but it turned out as a forest with alot of grass *sigh* Sometimes it's as if the painting is doing the job with me, not the other way around. Ah well, I like the trees here, and the light from the elf-fantasy-thing-girl. Inking this piece of art was insane. I don't know how much of it is visible now under the colours, but I did draw ALOT of details. It is also inspired by the art of Hans Arnold, especially the trees. "Det var en gång" is Swedish for "Once upon a time". The story is for you to fantasize to life.
